Automated External Defibrillators, or AEDs, are potentially life-saving tools that work by providing an electrical shock to the heart, allowing it to resume its normal function. In this course, you will learn about AEDs, when an AED should be used, the chain of survival, and what state law has to say about the use of AED equipment.

While this course provides an introductory overview of AED equipment and uses, it does not replace the in-person training required by law for certification.
