This is from 2014 and I feel like there is a lot more updated technology that should be incorporated into these activities. I did not care for the changing hats activity and felt like this class could have been shortened with the information that was provided. I work at a Title I school and putting on a hat that another student wore would not be a great idea. However, I did like the last two activities.
Benjamin – PROSPER ISD (verified owner) –
This course was a bit tedious, but I think I’ll find the new techniques beneficial in my classroom.

While the strategies for engaging students in creative, multidisciplinary activities were interesting, I wish some more examples might have been given appropriate for high school upperclassmen. It seemed to me that most of the examples were more appropriate to elementary or middle school students.

The best part of this training was the handout and the application piece, where participants are able to “try out” the strategy. Honestly, I feel it is harder to implement in math, but for social sciences and ELA it is a great tool!
