With the private information of all students and staff being stored digitally, it’s more important than ever for educators to understand the cybersecurity risks that this highly sensitive data faces. While storing this information online makes education and communication convenient and relevant for students and staff, it makes their data vulnerable to cyberattacks.

In this 1-hour DIR-certified* course you’ll learn about: 

  • What type of student data schools and districts are responsible for protecting
  • What types of threats school data systems face
  • Indicators of network or computer vulnerability
  • Preventative measures against cyberattacks
  • What to do if there is a cyberattack
  • What state and federal law requires of schools and school districts to prevent cyberattacks
