With the private information of all students and staff being stored digitally, it’s more important than ever for educators to understand the cybersecurity risks that this highly sensitive data faces. In this 1-hour DIR-certified* course you’ll learn about:

  • What types of threats school data systems face
  • Indicators of network or computer vulnerability
  • Preventative measures against cyberattacks
  • What to do if there is a cyberattack
  • What state and federal law requires of schools and school districts to prevent cyberattacks

    For people who aren’t technologically inclined, this course includes too much non-essential information. It would be much more impactful and effective if it focused just on what teachers and staff need to know and removed all of the extra things that we really don’t need to know. What we really need gets lost in all of the extra info. It’s just too much to try to retain it all.
