  1. Carol Anne – DAYTON CITY (verified owner)

This course had a dated and inaccurate depiction of ADHD. I’m a bit taken aback that in 2024 educators are taking a course that cites the DSM IV. DSM V has been out for over a decade, and there are already discussions on the table for DSM VI.

Although this course cited Dr. Barkley’s 1990 book, it left out over three decades of his research on ADHD which argues that emotional intensity should be reinstated as a core component of the diagnosis. With this understanding, this course would better understand how compatible Dabrowski’s overexcitabilities are with ADHD and autism.
