Description

Twice exceptional students, gifted/talented students with learning disabilities, make up between 2-5% of the student population. Working with these students requires a special understanding of their unique cognitive processes. Join trainer Mary Ann Clark, one of the leading experts on twice exceptional education, and discover the strengths and struggles that accompany both giftedness, and each of the common learning disabilities.This course will teach you to:
  • Discern between twice-exceptional myths and facts
  • Support different cognitive styles

    Dyslexia is not a visual issue. Dyslexics do not “see” backwards. The “teapot” example and the speaker saying that this is what a dyslexic “sees” is incorrect and perpetuates misinformation and myths surrounding dyslexia.
