Twice exceptional students, gifted/talented students with learning disabilities, make up between 2-5% of the student population. Working with these students requires a special understanding of their unique cognitive processes. This was a great refresher of Learning Styles. It will help you as a teacher address the needs of all students, but especially those students who are both Gifted and have a learning disability. Also some good ideas for dealing with ADHD – providing opportunity for movement within the classroom.
