I would highlight its importance and relevance in today’s educational and societal landscape. The course does a commendable job of raising awareness about the signs and risks of human trafficking and maltreatment, equipping educators with the tools to identify potential cases. It stresses the critical role schools play in prevention and intervention. One of the strengths is its use of real-life examples and case studies, making the content more relatable and easier to apply in real-world scenarios. The course also offers practical strategies for reporting and handling suspected cases, which is crucial for any educator or staff member working with minors. However, the subject matter is heavy, and it might benefit from additional resources for emotional support or debriefing, given the sensitive nature of the topics discussed. Overall, it’s an essential course that every educator should take to better protect and advocate for vulnerable students.
