Description
Gifted students thrive when they have the support and instruction they need. But the first step to helping gifted students is identifying them. Identifying gifted students can seem tricky, but thankfully there are resources that educators can use to aid them. In this 1-hour course, gifted experts Angie Osborne and Suzanne Palmer will teach educators about the tools that are available to them in the state of Ohio for identifying gifted students and how to use those resources in their classrooms.
Learn about the different areas of giftedness and how to provide individualized support for your gifted students. Ms. Osborne and Ms. Palmer will also provide resources to teachers that they can use to educate parents about gifted students. De-mystify gifted identification and learn how to help your gifted students excel.
In this course you will discover:
- Assessments and checklists for identifying gifted students in Ohio
- Four areas of gifted education
- How to provide equal opportunities for gifted identification
- A real-life example of a gifted student profile
