Question 1 is wrong. In Dennis Garlick’s book “Intelligence and the Brain: Solving the Mystery of Why People Differ in IQ and How a Child Can Be a Genius,” he indicates that “being aware of abstractions that are present in the environment, knowledge from one situation can be used to make predictions about the likely outcomes of other situations. In this way, people who understand abstractions are able to perform correctly in many more situations than would be expected based on their direct concrete experience alone.” Just FYI
