“Cool” is rarely the word people think of when it comes to math, but educator and author Alex Kajitani says that by using a few tricks and strategies, teachers can present math in a cool and engaging way that changes the way students themselves talk about it. Inspired by his love for rap and his passion for teaching math, Mr. Kajitani created his own math rap to teach his students about decimals and has been finding creative ways to present math lessons ever since.
