Description
In a multi-ability classroom, the biggest challenge is often keeping all students engaged at their own level and pace. In this innovative, hands-on course, Joyce Juntune, Ph.D., will show you strategies and lesson activities that self-level for each student. Practical advice paired with informative learning theory will help you apply the activities in your classroom and help each student achieve their potential.
In this 3-hour course, you will learn:
- Theories of cognitive development that help you apply strategies effectively
- How to help students become independent learners
- Fanned activities for groups and individuals that allow students to take learning as far as they desire
- How to adapt curriculum using these strategies
This course is aligned with 2016 ODE Teacher Competencies a, b, c, f, g and NAGC Teacher Preparation Standards 2.2, 2.3, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 5.2.
