In this course you’ll learn to:
- Understand sources of energy in gifted students
- Identify indicators of giftedness
- Differentiate between high achievers and gifted students
- Understand statistical distribution
- Identify the four types of gifted students
- And much more!

This course was helpful because I was not aware of how to indentify gifted students or how to plan for their success. It has generated a lot of questions, and provided ways to differentiate my lessons to meet the needs of the students in the course.

If you’re an elementary teacher, this would probably be more useful for you.
Also, I’m sure Dr. Junetune is a wonderful woman, but her voice is hard for me to listen to for long stretches.
Nicole – LEANDER ISD (verified owner) –
If you are able to take this course WITH your teaching team, that would be most beneficial. Completing this course independently makes it more challenging to discuss the learning with my team (as we are all at different points in the course). Also, I would have liked more guidance on how to apply this specifically to my content area. Working through this training as a team would allow for brainstorming of implementation.
Robin – BELTON ISD (verified owner) –

Jill – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
I always think of us, the teachers, as the various students we have in our classes. While I love the approachablility of the content – easy to swallow – and the delivery of stories, I wonder if there is a way to allow choice or opportuntiy within the instruction.
Jessica – Private Pay (verified owner) –
I enjoyed this course. I learned a lot of useful information that I can take back to my own classroom and use.
Alicia – BEAUMONT ISD (verified owner) –
I liked it, because I learned a lot about my GT students, and my self, who never really though about what being gifted myself meant, and because I feel better prepared to parent my GT student after this course.

Christine – SPRING ISD (verified owner) –
I believe it provided a lot of pertinent information, but was not as interactive as I would have liked. A lot to listen to…
Samira – FORT BEND ISD (verified owner) –
This course was face paced. I enjoyed the fact there was a note section where I can be able to understand what the video is stating. I am hearing impaired, so it’s hard for me to hear through the videos. I would appreciate closed captioning through the videos.
Emily – PHARR-SAN JUAN-ALAMO ISD (verified owner) –
great source of information on GT students along with higher level students.

Information was helpful, but I did not enjoy the powerpoint format. I would rather have an assigned reading.
