In this course you’ll learn to:
- Understand sources of energy in gifted students
- Identify indicators of giftedness
- Differentiate between high achievers and gifted students
- Understand statistical distribution
- Identify the four types of gifted students
- And much more!

This course could be summarized in a PDF. The video could be eliminated and the visuals added to the PDF. Having this course in this format did not help me. The Notes section is too small as well.
The info in this course is relevant! And good! But its presentation is drawn out and not suited for my needs. If you’re a logical, straightforward, get-it-done “how can I use this” person, this course is so tedious!

What I found most interesting is the history of G&T and how it has changed. I am concerned that the current model of classroom inclusion for all types of students means that G&T may remain an under-served population.

This course touches on a lot of aspects of teaching that is useful not only for gifted children, but is applicable to other student needs as well! The software is also very simple and allows for both audible video ‘and’ a text source of the dialogue. (This helped me most of all. I’m a reader not a listener!)

I thought the section on how poverty affects cognitive development was oversimplified and even offensive.
It was riddled with generalizations “like students that come from poverty do not have many conversations at home.”
