The course explores the significance of common analytic rubrics as consistent, unifying tools for assessment. You’ll understand the collaborative essence of the evaluation process, and how it influences professional development and the teacher-administrator relationship.
This course is designed to be completed by a principal and a teacher concurrently. An assessment will be given to each. Following the assessment, the principal and teacher are encouraged to meet and discuss what was learned in the course.
In this 30-minute course, you will learn:
- The role and importance of common analytic rubrics in assessment consistency
- The use of implementation rubrics for self-improvement and constructive feedback
- Techniques to set realistic goals and engage in productive conversations with administrators
- Practical examples of implementation rubrics in the domain of activity selection.
- How to interpret and apply scoring levels within an implementation rubric for continuous instructional improvement
