This course refreshes the challenges that gifted kids might find through life. We can help them find their own voice, understand themselves, solve problems and show them how to address their intense emotions, sensitivity and energies in a creative way. It provides very useful resources like Bibliotherapy, Classroom Strategies through activities like invent a feeling, Daily Journal, Benefits and Burdens for decision making, Unfortunately / Fortunately, Admiration Ladder and many others. Truly an outstanding course.

Then final quote in the module and the teacher’s interpretation of it says it all – the quote does not mention gifted students: it is about all students. But the instructor continues to want to “other” gifted students while simultaneously marginalizing everyone else. Offensive.

I found this curse to be helpful only in the sense that it taught me things about how to teach ALL students.
