With an emphasis on actionable strategies, not mere theory, this course provides a pathway towards a warm, focused, and organized classroom, bridging intentional practice with effective teaching. Discover how to shape, assess, and refine your start of class activities to foster an environment where students are engaged, ready, and eager to learn.
This course is designed to be completed by a principal and a teacher concurrently. An assessment will be given to each. Following the assessment, the principal and teacher are encouraged to meet and discuss what was learned in the course.
In this 30-minute course, you will uncover:
- Discerning and employing impactful start-of-class rituals
- The nuanced differences and applications of ‘rituals’ and ‘routines’
- Formulating strategies for a focused and emotionally secure classroom
- Techniques to enhance student engagement from the get-go
- Methods for ongoing evaluation and improvement of established rituals
