I liked the layout of the course and I thought that the reflection questions were actually pretty helpful, which is not always true of training courses. I didn’t feel like I was being asked complicated trick questions. Instead, I felt like the questions were straightforward and helped me think about key points of the training. I also liked the activity where we looked at the differences between Distinguished, Accomplished, etc. Because I really liked it, my complaint is that 5 minutes is not enough time to summarize the differences between the categories. I would have liked to have had 10-15 minutes available to me (not required, but allowed) so that I could have thought more about my response. I looked at everything before starting the timer, but I would have liked to have been able to jot down my thoughts while doing that. I also took off one star because I felt that the SLO section could have been a bit more practical. I still don’t feel completely certain how that works. Finally, the example lesson video was honestly too long. I’ve had to watch a lot of example lessons doing a teaching program, along with doing observation hours, so watching a 45 minute lesson again was very tedious.
