Education is not just about the destination, it’s about every small learning moment along the way. In the same way, T-TESS is not an event, but rather a process that assists educators in all areas of teaching. The T-TESS cycle is designed to help teachers continuously improve.
This course will refresh educators on the T-TESS observations, triangle, and rubric. Responsive Learning carefully presents and explains all of the components of T-TESS and how educators can prepare for them. Through guided questions, educators will have the chance to reflect on their personal instructional practices. After completing this course, educators will be ready to confidently meet their T-TESS goals.

- How to re-evaluate T-TESS goals

This refresher course was very dated in respect to the pandemic and subsequent disruption of schools that occurred. Many of us didn’t have final assessments last year, and our student results were significantly affected by the sudden mandatory shift to distance learning. If I am expected to update my instruction, practices and my goals each year in response to changing patterns, then the training curriculum I am expected to complete should reflect that as well. I think it’s sad that my district has to pay this company to administer state mandated training in order to be evaluated in a model required to receive continued federal monies. It’s hard to feel that it’s about the students when it’s really about the money. In situations we’ve never experienced before(like this pandemic and the requirements placed on teachers AND administrators) it’s insane to go through this training as if it will function in our current world as it did in our last one.
