Education is not just about the destination, it’s about every small learning moment along the way. In the same way, T-TESS is not an event, but rather a process that assists educators in all areas of teaching. The T-TESS cycle is designed to help teachers continuously improve.
This course will refresh educators on the T-TESS observations, triangle, and rubric. Responsive Learning carefully presents and explains all of the components of T-TESS and how educators can prepare for them. Through guided questions, educators will have the chance to reflect on their personal instructional practices. After completing this course, educators will be ready to confidently meet their T-TESS goals.

The T-TESS evaluation is extremely lengthy and time consuming. In addition, if teachers receive accomplished and distinguished in several domains, the teacher should not have to continue to through the lengthy evaluation process yearly. I think every 5 years would be sufficient unless there was a need for concern.

After being a teacher for 15 years now, I didn’t know really what the T-TESS was. I believe this was because we did not have TIA at the other districts I have taught at. I didn’t have “skin in the game” and I remember times I did not have a preconference and my post conference was not what it should have been. Now, I have a better understanding of what is expected not only during my observation time but how to utilize the rubric and crosswalk in my daily lessons.
