I like Dr. Cash’s emphasis on student responsibility for learning. High-order thinking is also very appropriate for gifted students who are rarely challenged by mere factual assessments. Dr. Cash challenges teachers of gifted students to enable our gifted students to seek out the knowledge and understanding that they are interested in and to achieve depth and complexity in the pursuit of both.

This course could have catered a little more towards “non-core” subject areas like Band, Orchestra, etc. Simply because we get evaluated by administration as well, and I’d like to learn how I can cater to what they want to see/hear, and still be able to convey my music content effectively while not feeling like I am wasting my time having the students talk about things rather than rehearse.
ronnie – LAREDO ISD (verified owner) –
