Description
Busy-bags are all the rage with mothers of young children–they’re just a collection of activities that are easy to grab, low-prep, and able to amuse little hands and minds for a few minutes. Lisa Van Gemert’s five-minute opportunity strategies are a “bag of tricks” for educators to pull from, but rather than keep the student occupied, the strategies are meant to help you build a relationship and connection with them in those rare unfilled minutes.
This course will help you:
- Get strategies to build a connection in a short amount of time
- Understand the importance of trust for G/T students
- Use music to create smoother transitions in your class

The strategies mentioned in this course are more social/emotional learning ideas rather than things you could do in 5 minutes. I thought this course would include more academic based games and activities that could be used during those unexpected “down times'” like waiting for class pictures.
