Deborah – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
To much moving around
Stanislas – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
For the concepts presented, this was overly long and drawn out. I most likely felt this way, because I found the material uninteresting, and I don’t see a need to implement this system in my teaching. I feel like we need to simplify the process of learning and developing critical thinking, and this system seems to complicate the process.
Christy – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
Great information but too much to process in a short module.
Anne – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
I would like to get back too using icons.
Kevin – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
A little lengthy and not as well put together.

Excellent
Steven – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
Great teaching moment with GT, a lot of great info on this concept
Jennifer – MIDWAY ISD – WOODWAY (verified owner) –
This should have an introductory component. It presumes a great deal of knowledge regarding Thinkins Skills. This seemed to be a part 2.
Robbie – EL PASO ISD (verified owner) –
I could not even see the type on the matching questions and for the most part, the color font on the slides were to light for the background color. This was all very frustrating.
Lila – PROSPER ISD (verified owner) –
loved the student examples. lots to gain from this course.
Yvette – LAREDO ISD (verified owner) –
Great course and use of examples. I appreciate that she showed student work.
Kelley – WESTERVILLE CITY (verified owner) –
I liked the presenter. I wonder if we could have been given a reference sheet with an explanation of terms – to icons – to what I look for and connect with, in order to understand the concept better. I enjoyed her examples with teaching math concepts. I REALLY liked that she showed some student work to show this practice in action. Thank you! I wonder if the camera could have shown us the large post it chart that she was writing on to describe how to teach main idea. I liked her voice and calm demeanor. I would take a class from Kim again.
Joylee – TULOSO-MIDWAY ISD (verified owner) –
These concepts were a little harder to follow in this online presentation. I wish I could’ve asked questions as if I were in the class.
Caitlyn – BOERNE ISD (verified owner) –
This professional development helped me further understand depth and complexity.
Alex – Aldine ISD (verified owner) –
She explained the system well.
John – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner) –
Not really engaging, though good content and ideas. Some of the reflection questions were too general and required one word answers.
Trinicia – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
This was a phenominal training!
Misty – BOERNE ISD (verified owner) –
It was nice to see how to plan while using the D&C icons. Some of the steps were a bit confusing, though.
Alexa – UNITED ISD (verified owner) –
Very informative
Sherri – COLUMBUS CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT (verified owner) –
This one had a lot of information that needs reviewed more than once. Lots of parts and steps with a larger concept
Colleen – GAHANNA-JEFFERSON CITY (verified owner) –
Good intro course, overlaps a lot with other courses by this presenter
Carol – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
A lot to think about.
Melissa – CONROE ISD (verified owner) –
I think it is useful, but might suit certain grades better. I feel like I pulled some helpful things from it, but it is not as geared towards high school.
Susan – MIDWAY ISD – WOODWAY (verified owner) –
This is geared for older elementary to middle school.
