Very informative a lot of information but it tends to get boring cause she does not show the slides of what she is talking about. It was hard to write info based on her just talking.

The question on the quiz that asks about neurotransmitters is wrong. According to every website I looked up, the 3 that contribute to depression are dopamine, norepinephrine, and seratonin. Epinephrine is NOT one of them.

  19. Stephanie – Angleton ISD (verified owner)

This course had an abundance of information and thought provoking things to consider.

This was a essential class every educator should take. So informative about different disorders, but not too overwhelming.

  27. Corey – PEARLAND ISD (verified owner)

The course was well-presented, well-organized and highly informative.

  28. Mario – SOCORRO ISD (verified owner)

Excellent, students deal with so many problems from their home life that we often attribute any struggles in their academic advancement to simply being disinterested in their future when their challenges are being fought for longer periods of time after and before even entering the class. These symptoms, diagnosis, and strategies serve as essential tools to best approach these instances in the classroom.

  29. Chryssa – CONROE ISD (verified owner)

Great and useful information for teachers to understand if they have any students with mental health issues

  30. Veronica – SOCORRO ISD (verified owner)

    Great

  31. Damon – PEARLAND ISD (verified owner)

Good course, just a lot of information. Could be a 2 hour presentation.

In the presentation/quiz she wanted us to identify three neurotransmitters implicated in depression. My understanding through my own education is Norepinephrine, Serotonin, and Dopamine are three neurotransmitters implicated in depression. I even check with a pharmacist for a mental health hospital and they confirmed my thoughts. If this was live I would probable question her thought more.

  32. Crystal – HILLSBORO CITY (verified owner)

This course has been the hardest one to follow so far. The speaker’s notes/points seemed to not flow.

  37. Dana – HILLSBORO CITY (verified owner)

This is the third course I’ve taken online that referenced a handout that I did not have access to view or use for future reference. It would be nice if those were available to download.

This is alot of information. Slides to highlight important information were not a part of this training which made it harder to pass the quiz. If you attended this training in person, you were given handouts with the information.
