Thinking Outside the Book is an ideal course for educators looking for resources to guide students toward creating unique and complex assignments. You’ll learn to lead them to have a deeper response to quality literature, which will ultimately help their love and respect for reading.
In this one-hour course you will learn to incorporate a variety of media to differentiate responses and push your students toward thinking and creating outside the book.

It was okay. But I would have rather the authors not spent so much time talking about specific books so much. The books they discussed didn’t really relate to my grade level. Perhaps more time could’ve been spent giving generic or “format” type information that could be used no matter what book is being studied. I would’ve liked to have seen written examples of the poems, letters, and mini-reports that the students did.
