Since I teach an inclusion class, I feel that taking a course that talks about twice exceptional can be very educating to me. I have not come across a twice exceptional student in my class yet, but I want to be prepared on how to work with them if I do.

The majority of this course focused on discussing different learning disabilities and strategies to use with them. I would have like to have more details and strategies to help with integrating the strengths of 2E students into their learning challenges.
JAMIE – WESTERVILLE CITY (verified owner) –
Overall, I found this to be an interesting course. I like the mention of the “other” disabilities that 2e students may be diagnosed with; however, I felt that there should have been a stronger correlation between the giftedness and the other exception of learning. A good teacher knows disabilities, syndrome, and diseases. Now show me HOW the present themselves with the student who is identified as gifted.

This was an interesting, informative course. The presenter was excellent. The content was not exactly what I was expecting, but perhaps I’m not sure what I WAS expecting. Good information, but less practical “how to”…but it was only a one-hour course. Great overview of subject.

Mr. Gangwer did an excellent job in presenting very helpful information regarding the 2E student. We as teachers are aware of the different types of students with neurological disorders and how they learn, but it was a great review. I found most particularly interesting strategies that teachers can use in order to promote learning in the 2E students. It seems as if the 2E student population is on the rise or we are now recognizing and acknowledging them more. This presentation should be shown at the beginning of each semester during staff development and not only to teachers, to the entire faculty and staff because they are in contact with these students as well.
