Very informative
LYNETTE D – SOCORRO ISD (verified owner) –
Presenter was super engaging. Had a sense of humor and was easy to follow. I tend to “check out” after a few minutes of professional development, but today was different. To the point and stories offered were meaningful. So glad I chose this module.
Jennifer – SPRING ISD (verified owner) –
I feel like I have taken this course before – it doesn’t seem to be fully in line with the concept of visual literacy and is pretty generic. Perhaps this is the wrong link to the title of this course?
Shae – GOOSE CREEK CISD (verified owner) –
I thought it was very informative and enjoyed the “story time” element of the presentation.
Amy – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
This course was very informative
Peggy – BOERNE ISD (verified owner) –
Gets a little long and wordy
Rachel – PROSPER ISD (verified owner) –
I feel like this was catered more towards students of all learning levels and not to ELLs in particular. I also felt like this was a lot of information that should be already known by educators.
Sofia – SPRING ISD (verified owner) –
I think this course is beneficial for new teachers.
Damaris – UNITED ISD (verified owner) –

It was okay. Kind of dry
Laura – WESLACO ISD (verified owner) –
There was a lot of useful information, but it was difficult to hear the speaker sometimes. Also, the slides for Definining the Visual Teacher don’t match with what is being said.
Emily – DEL VALLE ISD (verified owner) –
It was okay, enjoyed story time and the other extras
Gabriela – FLOUR BLUFF ISD (verified owner) –
It was a really helpful course, gives you new ideas and sources that could be very useful.
Brenda – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
It had great information that I will use. The resources notesI printed did not show the complete information and made it difficult to follow along.
Shannon – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
I really enjoyed this presentation and the focus on Visual literacy. It was very informative and filled with strategies and ideas that I can immediately implement.
Aliza Jackie – DEL VALLE ISD (verified owner) –
This was not a helpful course. It spoke very little on visuals for GT and ELL students and spent too much time on unrelated story-telling and dad jokes by the very boring speaker. Everything that was said about visuals was common sense or common pedagogical knowledge.
Betsy – BETHEL LOCAL (verified owner) –
Good information
Katherine – LUFKIN ISD (verified owner) –
Lots of information
Lindzee – KILLEEN ISD (verified owner) –
I really enjoyed how he used music and visuals.
chris – MIDLOTHIAN ISD (verified owner) –

Kimberly – MIDLOTHIAN ISD (verified owner) –
I liked the story time and classroom experiences. I didn’t care for the slides being read to me word for word.
Allison – BASTROP ISD (verified owner) –
This provides the reasoning behind using different media to connect learning to your students It helps to engage students on multiple levels.
Alison – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
I really enjoyed this course and teacher.
Judith – MCALLEN ISD (verified owner) –
Presenter was very knowledgable and informative. Would definitely recommend it to other educators.
Donna – LUMBERTON ISD (verified owner) –
The title of this module is misleading. I was hoping for more strategies to use for visual learners. This presentation covered many areas and included many lists.
Diana – GOOSE CREEK CISD (verified owner) –
I wish more elaboration and examples would have been provided for some of the content, especially for strategies with ELL students. That was the title of the course and that is what I was expecting.
Ana – WYLIE ISD (verified owner) –
It was not what i expected.
Elizabeth – BASTROP ISD (verified owner) –
The course covered information for Visual Learners, but also a lot of material that detracted from the Visual Learners making it confusing at time.
Beth – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
Great!
Susan – ALAMO HEIGHTS ISD (verified owner) –
Enjoyed this training. Lots of good and helpful information.
LaRecce – ECTOR COUNTY ISD (verified owner) –
Kind of fast paced for the information provided.
Annette – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
While the information provided was valuable, it was given in a succession of lists that were projected and read aloud in succession.
Amie – BASTROP ISD (verified owner) –
I enjoyed this course
Marissa – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
Excellent information provided in a format that fit the topic of the course.
Yvette – WESLACO ISD (verified owner) –
Very informative
Lori – BURLESON ISD (verified owner) –
Very few visual literacy strategies were discussed or modeled. Most of the presentation was words on slides that were read by the presenter. A lot of the information is well known content about gifted students, their identification, and theory rather than practical strategies and how to effectively use them in the classroom.
Brenda – Region 17 ESC (verified owner) –
I though it was boring.
Cynthia – BOERNE ISD (verified owner) –
This course was interesting and offered many strategies that are useful.
Christopher – CLEBURNE ISD (verified owner) –
I’ve found that some of the presenters contradict each other when it comes to what ELL’s need, how they are in the classroom, and how to address their needs.
Ingryd – UNITED ISD (verified owner) –
Very good presenter with good stories and examples.
Paula – Private Pay (verified owner) –
The course contained some good information, but “Visual Literacy” was only a very small part of the presentation. I was hoping for an in-depth course that focused almost exclusively on visual literacy.
Raul – WESLACO ISD (verified owner) –
Good course
Marta – UNITED ISD (verified owner) –
Highly informative
Grace – UNITED ISD (verified owner) –
Great session. Helpful strategies that are easy to implement.
